Introduction :

Individuals who struggle to cope with their emotions or certain conditions in their lives experience substantial stigma in the societal eye. This editorial is intended to be an educational tool for all audiences interested in learning about what self-harm is and how to break the cycle of self-harm. This is meant to change the stereotypical outlook on people who self-harm and provide alternative coping mechanism to deal with emotional baggage.
