The Freedom of Speech

Editorial exploring free speech around the world

For this project I developed a multi-media editorial which included a publication that explores a the freedom of speech around the world. The written content for the publication was developed through research, the culling together of different sources, and a self-written Introduction.

Introduction :

In the United States, there are many outlets for people to freely express themselves that aren't seen in other countries. To Americans, the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment may seem to be a simple demand of a country’s citizens, but in many cases, it is a luxury that does not exist outside of America. This editorial will be focused on the freedom of speech in the United States in comparison to the freedom of speech around the world. The purpose of this editorial is to highlight how this “basic” right is taken for granted. This editorial will educate readers on the history of speech, and the different limitations of speech around the world.
